Head Two Ladies Cross Over - Bob Livingston
Creator: Bob Livingston (April 9, 2011)
Bob Livingston calls at the Killingly, CT, dance, a regular series he has been doing since 1988, although he reports that there have been dances there "forever." (At 1:45, you'll see a man wearing suspenders in the promenade; he told caller Tod Whittemore that he's been dancing at Killingly since 1947.)
The musicians are "Barbara's Band": Barbara Neal, keyboard; John Gould, guitar; Tom Hall, fiddle. The footage was recorded April 9, 2011 by Patricia Campbell.
The dance is also known as Life on the Ocean Wave, and was a favorite of caller Duke Miller. You can tell that the dancers are familiar with the caller's repertoire-- listen to how they start to sing "All join hands" at :55, but the caller has a surprise in store for them.
